My name is Kenny, the owner and founder of Rambunctious, LLC - aka Rambo Braids. Rambo Braids is a hair salon located in Columbia, Maryland that services the public with a variety of hairstyling services. It was founded in 2019 in Baltimore, Md and is now located in Columbia, Md. Let me tell you a little bit more about Rambo Braids and a bit about myself…

 

For several years I’ve tried to find the perfect business to pursue. In 2009, the year I began college I decided to major in business. It was then I had tried to go into retail because I was into fashion, but I did not start my business right away as I was a young mom trying to figure things out. Fast forward to 2014, I opened my first retail store in one of Baltimore’s flea markets and began selling kids’ clothes. However, after a while, I let the business go. Two years later, I went back to school and continued my education in business and got my AA degree in Business Administrations and graduated in 2018. But it wasn’t until 1 year later I decided to start braiding a few people hair to make ends meet, hence forth, the birth of Rambunctious Braids - my first name for the business. I never thought I would fall back in love with braiding because I avoided doing it for years because it can be very time consuming.  It was quite a journey for me to learn the new way of braiding, catching up to the latest trends, keeping up with the latest trends, and learning about the new products on the market that we now have for hair texture like mine (I’m about a 4B). It took me some time and thorough research but I finally got it all together and now my business is established. Rambo Braids is now expanding into more hairstyles besides braids, such as, locs, wigs and weave, natural hairstyles and more! 

 

Word of advice - don’t ever give up on your dream!  If you ask people who know me very well they can tell you that I spent years working on this moment (10+) and am now walking into prosperity.
